Wasanapi’s Outreach Programme success

Since his graduation in February 2014 Wasanapi (pictured below) has been running a successful Outreach Programme funded by the MHP. This has involved travelling up to 150km from Maun by 4WD to do clinics in isolated villages in the bush where access to health care is limited. In the last 4 months Wasanapi has visited 10 villages – Sehitwa, Kareng, Boro, Xuxao, Morutsha, Goruku, Ditshiping, Gogomoga, Tsutsabega and Xharaxao. His clinics are highly valued by the village communities and Wasanapi often works a long day. This is shown by the numbers of clients he has treated – a total of 250 in 4 months. Wasanapi says “The people need homeopathy and I am happy to serve my community. I see a range of health problems from aches and pains to serious HIV conditions. Sometimes the travelling is hard as there are no tarmac roads, ¬†just rough tracks, but it is always worth it when I get there.”¬†IMG_5441
